PAW Statement on WOGCC Supervisor Mark Watson’s Retirement
May 11, 2021
Casper, Wyo. – The Petroleum Association of Wyoming (PAW) issued the following statement in response to the announcement that Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (WOGCC) Supervisor Mark Watson will retire in July:
“PAW would like to recognize Mark for his dedication to the WOGCC, and Wyoming, over the last 38 years and especially for his leadership during his seven years as Supervisor. Mark led the WOGCC’s efforts to modernize Wyoming’s natural gas and oil regulations, including flaring, setbacks, and the recent overhaul of Wyoming’s Application for Permit to Drill – all in the name of advancing the Commission’s mission of ‘ensuring the responsible development and management of Wyoming’s oil and gas resources.’ Wyoming remains a leader in common sense oversight of our natural resources thanks, in large part, to Mark’s efforts.
PAW and its members wish Mark and his wife Heather all the best in their future endeavors.”
